Effective from September — this is the current version
Overview
Prime Cares Health respects your privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or contact our clinic, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the choices available to you.
It applies to this website and to enquiries, appointments, newsletter subscriptions and feedback that reach us through it. It does not replace the fuller privacy notice you receive as a patient of the clinic, which covers your clinical records in more detail.
Information We Collect
We only ask for information we genuinely need. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
- Contact details such as your name, email address and telephone number.
- Enquiry details — the message you send us and the service you are interested in.
- Appointment preferences, including how you would like us to reply and any appointment type you select.
- Health information that you choose to share while enquiring about care. Please share only what is necessary in a web form.
- Newsletter details, such as your email address and the health topics that interest you.
- Technical information such as browser type, device type and the pages you visit, collected in aggregate to keep the site working well.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to provide the service you have asked for. In practice that means:
- Responding to your enquiry and arranging appointments.
- Coordinating care between our clinicians so your treatment is joined up.
- Sending the Health Notes newsletter, if you have asked to receive it.
- Improving our website, services and the way we communicate.
- Meeting our legal, clinical governance and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health information for advertising of any kind.
Health Information and Confidentiality
Information about your health is treated as confidential and is handled only by members of our clinical and administrative team who need it to care for you or to arrange that care.
Our clinicians are bound by professional confidentiality duties. We release health information only with your consent, or where the law or an urgent safety concern requires it.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. This helps us keep pages useful and fast.
- Essential cookies allow the site to function correctly.
- Preference cookies remember choices such as a completed newsletter hand-off.
- Analytics cookies show us which pages are most helpful, in anonymised form.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Parts of the site may behave differently if essential cookies are disabled.
Newsletter Subscriptions and Your Choices
When you subscribe to Health Notes we use your email address only to send the newsletter and occasional clinic updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or our Unsubscribe page.
- Unsubscribing removes you from mailing lists only. It does not affect your clinical records or appointment reminders.
- You may also ask us to correct or delete your newsletter details at any time.
When We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only in these limited situations:
- With your consent — for example, when you ask us to share records with another clinician.
- With trusted service providers who help us run the clinic and website, under confidentiality agreements.
- Where the law requires it — for example, responding to a lawful request or protecting someone from serious harm.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as clinical and legal requirements ask us to. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked to you.
Keeping Your Information Secure
We protect your information with a combination of technical and organisational safeguards, including restricted access, staff confidentiality training, secure systems and regular review of our processes.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
- Withdraw consent you have previously given, including for marketing emails.
To make a request, contact us using the details on our Contact Us page. We may ask you to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Children and Family Members
Our website is intended for adults arranging care for themselves or their family. We ask that children do not submit personal information through this site.
Where a parent or guardian contacts us on behalf of a child or another family member, we ask that they have the appropriate authority to do so.
Links to Other Websites
Our website may link to external sites we think you will find useful, such as public health resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The version published here is the current one, and the effective date is shown at the top of the page.
